Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CURRIQ: AI Resume Builder mobile application (the "App") provided by 9547-8715 Québec inc., operating as InnovaLabWorks ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

2. Description of the App

CURRIQ is a mobile application that allows users to:

  • Create, edit, and manage professional CVs
  • Choose from 21 professionally designed templates (including photo-capable templates)
  • Upload a profile photo that appears on supported CV templates
  • Switch each CV between 4 language variants: English (US), English (UK), French (Quebec), French (France)
  • Translate full CV content across 4 languages using AI
  • Generate AI-powered cover letters using the Anthropic Claude API, automatically linked to the associated CV
  • Track job applications with company name, date, notes, and linked cover letters
  • Export CVs and cover letters in PDF format (all users) and Word (.docx) format (Pro subscribers only)
  • Use the App interface in 4 languages: English (US), English (UK), French (Quebec), French (France)
  • Submit support requests and feature suggestions via in-app forms, with optional file attachments for troubleshooting

The App stores all user data locally on the device. Profile photos are stored as base64-encoded data within the CV record on the device. No user account creation is required.

3. Licence Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download, install, and use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with Apple's App Store Terms of Service and these Terms.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to circumvent any access restrictions or security measures
  • Use the App to generate misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive content
  • Resell or commercially redistribute content generated by the App

4. Subscriptions & Payments

4.1 Free & Premium Tiers

CURRIQ offers both free and premium (Pro) functionality. The free tier provides basic CV creation capabilities. The Pro tier unlocks additional features including unlimited CVs, premium templates, AI-powered features, watermark-free exports, and more.

4.2 Subscription Plans

The following plans are available for CURRIQ Pro:

  • Free: 1 CV, 3 templates, 3 one-time AI credits, watermarked PDF export (no Word export)
  • Pro Monthly: C$12.99 (CAD) / $9.99 (USD) / £7.99 (GBP) / 9,99 € (EUR) per month (auto-renewing) —50 AI credits/month
  • Pro Yearly: C$69.99 (CAD) / $49.99 (USD) / £39.99 (GBP) / 49,99 € (EUR) per year (auto-renewing) —100 AI credits/month, 58% savings

Extra Credits (Consumable)

  • Extra Credits: 20 credits —$4.99 (USD)

AI credits included with subscriptions reset monthly and do not roll over. Extra credits persist until used and never expire, even if the subscription ends. Extra credits serve as backup when subscription credits are exhausted. An active Pro subscription is required to purchase extra credits. Most AI actions cost 1 credit; cover letters, translations, and job tailoring cost 2 credits.

Prices are displayed in CAD, USD, GBP, and EUR. Actual prices may vary by region due to currency conversion and App Store pricing. Prices are subject to change with notice.

4.3 Billing & Renewal

All subscriptions are processed and billed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same rate.
  • You can manage and cancel your subscriptions at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings.

4.4 Free Trials

We may offer free trial periods for CURRIQ Pro. If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged during the trial period. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.

4.5 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple in accordance with their refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

4.5.1 AI Credits and Refund Policy

AI credits are consumed immediately upon use. Each AI action (writing, rewriting, suggesting, parsing, tailoring, translating, or generating a cover letter) deducts credits from your account upon execution. Consumed credits cannot be reversed or refunded.

AI-generated content is provided "as-is." CURRIQ provides AI-powered tools to assist with CV and cover letter creation, but does not guarantee specific outcomes, job interviews, or employment. AI-generated text may require manual review and editing by the user.

Extra credit purchases are non-refundable digital goods delivered instantly upon purchase. Users may request refunds for extra credit purchases through Apple's standard refund process at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period. Upon cancellation, Pro features are deactivated and monthly credits stop renewing. Any remaining extra credits are preserved and remain usable within Free plan limitations.

Monthly AI credits expire at each subscription renewal date and do not carry over. Extra credits never expire and are usable as long as the user's account exists.

5. AI-Generated Content

5.1 AI Disclaimer

Important: The AI-powered features (cover letter generation, CV content translation, professional summary enhancement, and skills suggestions) use Anthropic's Claude API to produce text content. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and suggestion only. It may contain errors, inaccuracies, or content that does not fully reflect your qualifications.
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before using it in any professional context.
  • AI-generated content does not constitute professional career advice, legal advice, or any other form of professional counsel.
  • We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will result in job interviews, employment, or any particular outcome.
  • The quality, accuracy, and appropriateness of AI-generated content may vary.

5.2 Data Processing for AI Features

When you use AI-powered features (cover letter generation, CV translation, summary enhancement, or skills suggestions), relevant portions of your CV data are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. For cover letter generation, the job description you provide is also transmitted. By using these features, you consent to this data transmission. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

5.4 AI Usage Limits

AI-powered features are subject to usage limits that vary by subscription tier. Free users receive a limited number of AI generations per hour and per day. Pro subscribers receive higher limits. These limits are enforced on the device and may be adjusted at our discretion. Current limits are documented within the App.

5.3 Ownership of Generated Content

You retain ownership of the content you create using the App, including AI-generated cover letters that you have reviewed and customised. However, you acknowledge that similar content may be generated for other users given similar inputs.

6. User Content & Responsibilities

6.1 Your Content

You retain all rights to the personal information, text, and other content you input into the App ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of your User Content.

6.2 Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

  • Create fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive CVs or cover letters
  • Misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or credentials
  • Generate content that is defamatory, obscene, or violates any person's rights
  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or associated servers

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, templates, graphics, logos, icons, and all other visual and functional elements, is owned by 9547-8715 Québec inc. o/a InnovaLabWorks and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The "CURRIQ" and "InnovaLabWorks" names and logos are trademarks of InnovaLabWorks.

CV templates provided within the App are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use in creating CVs. You may not extract, reproduce, or redistribute the templates separately from the App.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
  • We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • In no event shall 9547-8715 Québec inc., its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.
  • Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 9547-8715 Québec inc. o/a InnovaLabWorks and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your licence to use the App is immediately revoked.
  • You must delete the App from all your devices.
  • Active subscriptions may be cancelled; however, refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy.
  • Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall continue in effect.

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it and cancelling any active subscription through your Apple ID settings.

11. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services, including:

  • Anthropic (Claude API): For AI-powered cover letter generation, CV content translation, summary enhancement, and skills suggestions.
  • Apple App Store & StoreKit: For subscription processing and management.
  • InnovaLabWorks API (api.innovalabworks.com): For processing in-app support requests, priority support tickets, and feature wishlist submissions via secure HTTPS connections.

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

11.1 Support Communications & File Attachments

When you submit a support request through the in-app form or via email, you may optionally include file attachments (such as screenshots, exported PDFs, or other documents) to help us diagnose and resolve your issue. By submitting attachments:

  • You grant us permission to view and analyse the attached files solely for the purpose of providing technical support
  • We will not use your attachments for marketing, training, or any purpose other than resolving your support request
  • Attachments are transmitted via secure HTTPS and processed by our support infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers)
  • We retain support attachments only for the duration necessary to resolve your request, after which they are deleted
  • You are responsible for ensuring that any files you attach do not contain sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for troubleshooting

12. Modifications to the App & Terms

12.1 App Changes

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

12.2 Terms Changes

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Quebec, District of Montreal. You irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.

Before initiating any legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation for a period of thirty (30) days after written notice of the dispute.

14. Apple-Specific Terms

These Terms are between you and 9547-8715 Québec inc. o/a InnovaLabWorks only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms of Service, Apple's terms shall govern with respect to Apple's services.

Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property infringement claims. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and 9547-8715 Québec inc. o/a InnovaLabWorks with respect to the App, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, and proposals.
