Terms of Service

Part 1 — General Terms (All InnovaLabWorks Products)

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of all products, applications, websites, and services (collectively, the “Services”) provided by 9547-8715 Québec inc., operating as InnovaLabWorks (“we”, “us”, or “our”), located at 1027-1055 rue Lucien l’Allier, Montréal, QC H3G 3C4, Canada.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using any of our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree, you must not use our Services.

2. Company Identity

InnovaLabWorks is a trade name of 9547-8715 Québec inc., a corporation registered in the Province of Québec, Canada. All references to “InnovaLabWorks,” “we,” “us,” or “our” in these Terms refer to 9547-8715 Québec inc. o/a InnovaLabWorks.

3. Definitions

Throughout these Terms, the following definitions apply:

• “Products” means all software applications, mobile apps, and digital tools developed and published by InnovaLabWorks, including but not limited to CURRIQ.
• “Services” means all Products, websites, APIs, platforms, and related services operated by InnovaLabWorks.
• “Content” means any text, data, images, documents, or other materials that you create, upload, submit, or generate through our Services (“User Content”).
• “Generated Content” means any output produced by our AI-powered features in response to your input.
• “You” or “User” means any individual who accesses or uses our Services.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use our Services. If you are between 16 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf and consents to your use of our Services.

By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements. We reserve the right to request verification of age at any time.

5. User Accounts

Our Products currently do not require you to create a user account, sign in, or provide login credentials. No accounts, passwords, or authentication systems are used. Should we introduce account functionality in the future, these Terms will be updated accordingly, and you will be notified of the changes.

6. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use our Products on devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with the applicable platform terms (such as Apple’s App Store Terms of Service) and these Terms.

This license does not grant you any ownership interest in our Products or Services. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you.

7. Restrictions

You agree that you will not:

• Copy, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or create derivative works of any part of our Products or Services
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of our Products
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any access restrictions, security measures, digital rights management, or usage-limiting features
• Use our Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose
• Resell, commercially redistribute, or sublicense any content, templates, or output generated through our Services
• Use automated systems, bots, scrapers, or similar tools to access or interact with our Services without prior written consent
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices from our Products

8. Intellectual Property

All Products, Services, and their components — including but not limited to software code, user interface designs, templates, graphics, logos, icons, AI systems, AI-generated output structure and formatting, and all visual and functional elements — are owned by 9547-8715 Québec inc. o/a InnovaLabWorks and are protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws of Canada and international jurisdictions.

The “InnovaLabWorks,” “CURRIQ,” and all associated product names, logos, and trade dress are trademarks of InnovaLabWorks. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.

9. User Content Ownership

You retain all rights, title, and interest in your User Content. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your personal data, documents, or created content to InnovaLabWorks.

You acknowledge that when you use AI-powered features, similar or identical content may be generated for other users who provide similar inputs. This does not diminish your rights in the content you create, review, and customize.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must not:

• Create fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive content
• Misrepresent your qualifications, credentials, or identity in any documents generated through our Services
• Generate content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, or that violates any person's rights
• Violate any applicable local, provincial, national, or international laws or regulations
• Interfere with or disrupt the functionality, security, or performance of our Services or associated infrastructure
• Abuse form submission systems or other communication channels by sending spam, excessive requests, or malicious content
• Attempt to access other users' data or any non-public portions of our Services

11. Subscriptions & Payments

11.1 General Billing Terms

All in-app purchases and subscriptions for our Products are processed and billed through the applicable platform provider (currently Apple's App Store via StoreKit 2). InnovaLabWorks does not directly collect, process, or store any payment information such as credit card numbers or billing addresses.

11.2 Auto-Renewal

Recurring subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your platform account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current rate.

11.3 Managing Subscriptions

You can manage and cancel your subscriptions at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings (or the equivalent settings on other platforms). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

11.4 Refunds

All purchases are processed by the platform provider. Refund requests must be submitted directly to the platform — for Apple, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not process refunds directly.

11.4.1 AI Credits and Refund Policy

AI credits are consumed immediately upon use. Each AI action (writing, rewriting, suggesting, parsing, tailoring, translating, or generating a cover letter) deducts credits from your account upon execution. Consumed credits cannot be reversed or refunded. AI-generated content is provided “as-is.” Extra credit purchases are non-refundable digital goods delivered instantly upon purchase. Users may request refunds for extra credit purchases through Apple’s standard refund process at reportaproblem.apple.com. Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period. Monthly AI credits expire at each renewal date and do not carry over. Extra credits never expire.

11.5 Price Changes

Subscription prices may change. Apple will notify you of any price increase via push notification, email, and in-app message before your next renewal. If the increase exceeds Apple’s pricing thresholds, your consent is required before renewal at the new price. If you do not consent, your subscription will expire at the end of the current billing period. One-time purchases already completed (such as Extra Credits) are not affected by future price changes.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 9547-8715 Québec inc. o/a InnovaLabWorks and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

• Your use of our Services
• Your User Content
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Your infringement of any third-party rights

15. Data Protection

Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information. By using our Services, you acknowledge and agree to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

Key data protection principles across all our Products:

• You retain all rights to your personal data and created content at all times
• All data stored locally on your device is encrypted at rest using platform-native data protection
• You may request complete deletion of any data we hold by following the process described in our Privacy Policy

16. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we commit to:

• Notifying affected users within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, in accordance with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR, Quebec’s Law 25, and PIPEDA)
• Notifying the relevant supervisory authorities as required by law
• Taking immediate and reasonable steps to contain and mitigate the breach
• Providing you with information about the nature of the breach and recommended protective measures

17. Third-Party Services

Our Products may integrate with third-party services to provide certain functionality. These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. Current third-party service providers include:

• Apple (App Store, StoreKit, iCloud CloudKit, MapKit): App distribution, subscription processing, data sync, and address autocomplete
• Anthropic (Claude API): AI-powered content generation, translation, enhancement, and document parsing
• Cloudflare (Workers): API infrastructure for processing support and feedback submissions
• Brevo: Newsletter delivery (opt-in only)

We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to those providers' terms.

18. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify, amend, or replace these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We may also notify you of material changes through our Products or website.

Your continued use of our Services after any modifications to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using our Services.

19. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to any or all of our Services at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Upon termination:

• Your license to use our Products is immediately revoked
• You must delete our applications from all your devices
• Active subscriptions may be cancelled; refunds are subject to the applicable platform provider's refund policy
• Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including but not limited to intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) shall continue in full force and effect

You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling our applications and cancelling any active subscriptions through your platform account settings.

20. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms through good-faith negotiation for a period of thirty (30) days after one party provides written notice of the dispute to the other.

If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction in the judicial district of Montréal, Québec, Canada.

Nothing in these Terms shall deprive you of any mandatory consumer protection rights granted to you under the laws of your jurisdiction of residence that cannot be waived by contract. If you are a consumer in the European Union, United Kingdom, or any other jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, those protections apply to you regardless of the governing law chosen above.

21. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.

22. Waiver

The failure of InnovaLabWorks to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by InnovaLabWorks.

23. Force Majeure

InnovaLabWorks shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, epidemics, acts of war or terrorism, government actions or orders, labor disputes, infrastructure failures, internet or telecommunications outages, power failures, fire, flood, or cyberattacks.

24. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any product-specific terms set forth below, constitute the entire agreement between you and 9547-8715 Québec inc. o/a InnovaLabWorks with respect to our Services and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings, agreements, or representations.

26. Apple-Specific Terms

If you access our Products through the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

• These Terms are between you and 9547-8715 Québec inc. o/a InnovaLabWorks only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not a party to these Terms.
• Apple is not responsible for our Products or their content and has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to our Products.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to our Products, including product liability claims, claims that the Product fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
• In the event of any third-party claim that our Product or your use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any such claim.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Part 2 — CURRIQ-Specific Terms

27. Description of CURRIQ

CURRIQ is an AI-powered resume builder for iOS that enables users to:

• Create, edit, and manage professional resumes with 20+ professionally designed templates
• Upload a profile photo with smart cropping that appears on supported resume templates
• Add comprehensive resume sections: personal info, summary, work experience, education, skills, languages, certifications, volunteer experience, awards, projects, professional memberships, board/advisory roles, references, and core competencies
• Switch each resume between 4 language variants: English (US), English (UK), French (Québec), French (France)
• Translate full resume content across 4 languages using AI
• Generate AI-powered cover letters linked to the associated resume
• Generate and enhance resume content using AI (summaries, bullet points, skills suggestions)
• Parse existing CVs/resumes from PDF uploads or images using AI with vision capabilities
• Track job applications with company name, date, notes, and linked cover letters
• Export resumes and cover letters as ATS-friendly PDFs (all users) and Word (.docx) format (Pro subscribers only)
• Sync resume data across devices via iCloud (when enabled)
• Use address autocomplete powered by Apple MapKit
• Submit support requests and feature suggestions via in-app forms, with optional file attachments for troubleshooting
• Use the app interface in 4 languages: English (US), English (UK), French (Québec), French (France)

The app stores all user data locally on the device using SwiftData. Profile photos are stored as base64-encoded data within the resume record. No user account creation is required.

28. CURRIQ Subscription Plans

28.1 Explore Mode (No Subscription)

28.2 CURRIQ Pro Plans

CURRIQ Pro provides full access to all features, including unlimited resume creation, all 20+ premium templates, AI credits for content generation, AI translation, AI cover letters, watermark-free PDF export, Word (.docx) export, job posting tracker, profile photo support, and priority customer support. The following plans are available:

• Pro Monthly: C$12.99 (CAD) / $9.99 (USD) / £7.99 (GBP) / 9,99 € (EUR) per month (auto-renewing) — includes 50 AI credits per month
• Pro Yearly: C$69.99 (CAD) / $49.99 (USD) / £39.99 (GBP) / 49,99 € (EUR) per year (auto-renewing, 58% savings) — includes 100 AI credits per month

Prices are displayed in CAD, USD, GBP, and EUR. Actual prices may vary by region due to currency conversion and App Store pricing. Prices are subject to change with notice.

28.3 Free Trials

We may offer free trial periods for CURRIQ Pro. If offered, you will not be charged during the trial period. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple and is typically limited to one trial per Apple ID.

28.4 AI Credits

AI-powered features in CURRIQ are governed by a credit-based system. Each AI operation (content generation, translation, enhancement, cover letter generation, skill suggestions, CV parsing) consumes one or more AI credits. Credit allocations are as follows:

• Explore Mode (Free): 3 one-time AI credits (no renewal)
• Pro Monthly: 50 AI credits per month
• Pro Yearly: 100 AI credits per month

Subscription AI credits reset at the beginning of each billing cycle. Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing cycle. Credit allocations may be adjusted at our discretion with notice.

28.5 Extra Credits (In-App Purchase)

In addition to subscription credits, Pro subscribers may purchase Extra Credits as a one-time in-app purchase:

• Extra Credits: 20 AI credits — C$6.99 (CAD) / $4.99 (USD) / £3.99 (GBP) / 4,99 € (EUR)

Extra credits persist until used and never expire, even if the subscription ends. Extra credits are consumed only after subscription credits are exhausted. An active Pro subscription is required to purchase extra credits. Extra credit purchases are non-refundable once credits have been used.

28.6 AI Credit Costs Per Action

Each AI operation consumes credits from your balance as follows:

• AI write: 1 credit
• AI rewrite: 1 credit
• AI suggestion: 1 credit
• CV import: 2 credits
• Job-specific tailoring: 2 credits
• AI translate: 2 credits
• Cover letter generation: 2 credits
• Cover letter adjustments: 1 credit
• CV import translation: 1 credit
• Manual editing: Free
• Template switching: Free
• PDF export: Free

29. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

30. AI Usage Limits

AI-powered features in CURRIQ are governed by a credit-based system as described in Section 28.4 and 28.5. Each AI operation consumes one or more credits from your balance. When your credits are exhausted, AI features will be unavailable until credits are replenished through subscription renewal or extra credit purchase.

Additional rate limits may be enforced on the device to prevent abuse. These limits apply to all AI operations, including resume content generation, cover letter generation, translation, enhancement, skill suggestions, and CV parsing. Limits may be adjusted at our discretion without prior notice.

31. AI Data Processing

When you use AI features in CURRIQ, relevant portions of your resume data are transmitted to Anthropic’s Claude API for processing. This occurs only when you explicitly initiate an AI feature. Specifically:

• For cover letter generation, your resume data and the job description you provide are transmitted
• For resume content generation and enhancement, relevant resume sections are transmitted
• For translation, the resume content to be translated is transmitted
• For CV parsing, the uploaded PDF text or captured image is transmitted
• For skill suggestions, your job title and relevant context are transmitted

By using these features, you consent to this data transmission. For full details on how your data is processed, see our Privacy Policy.

32. Template License

Resume and cover letter templates provided within CURRIQ are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use in creating resumes, cover letters, and professional documents. You may not:

• Extract, reproduce, or redistribute templates separately from the app
• Use templates as the basis for competing products or services
• Sell, sublicense, or commercially distribute templates or their designs
• Claim ownership or authorship of template designs

33. CV Parsing

CURRIQ allows you to upload existing CVs or resumes as PDF files or capture them as images. These documents are processed by Anthropic’s Claude API (using vision capabilities for images) to extract structured data. You acknowledge that:

• Parsing accuracy may vary depending on the format, quality, and complexity of the uploaded document
• You are responsible for reviewing and correcting all parsed data before use
• The uploaded document content is transmitted to Anthropic for processing as described in Section 31

34. iCloud Sync

iCloud sync is available to all users and is enabled by default when iCloud is available on your device. Sync uses Apple's CloudKit private database, associated with your personal Apple ID. InnovaLabWorks does not have access to your iCloud data. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app's Settings. Disabling sync may require an app restart. We are not responsible for data availability issues related to iCloud outages or Apple's infrastructure.

35. Form Submission Limits

In-app form submissions in CURRIQ are subject to the following rate limits:

• Regular Support: Available to users without a Pro subscription, limited to 1 submission per 24-hour rolling window. Pro subscribers use Priority Support instead.
• Priority Support: Available to Pro subscribers only, limited to 5 submissions per 24-hour rolling window.
• Wishlist / Feature Requests: Available to all users, limited to 5 submissions per 24-hour rolling window.

The website contact form is subject to similar rate limits. All forms include an anti-spam security challenge to verify human interaction. These limits are enforced client-side and help ensure timely responses to all users.

As InnovaLabWorks launches additional products and services, product-specific terms will be added to this section. All general terms in Part 1 apply to every product unless explicitly stated otherwise in the product-specific section.
