Cookie and browser storage notice

What this notice covers

Cookies and browser storage can remember settings or support measurement. This notice lists the storage used by our website. App-specific features have separate notices. We do not use optional analytics before affirmative consent.

Stored settings

Privacy preference: ilw-privacy-choice-v2, first-party local storage, records the selected categories and expires after six months. It is needed to remember your privacy decision, including rejection. Appearance: ilw-appearance, first-party local storage, remembers System, Light or Dark until changed or cleared. Daily browser ID: ilw-daily-browser-v2, optional first-party local storage, a random ID valid only for its UTC day. It requires analytics and daily-count permission, rotates on the next permitted visit, and is removed when permission is withdrawn. Identifiers are not linked across days. Browser clearing or blocking storage may cause your choice to be requested again.

Server records and security

Consented measurement records expire after 30 days and may include the permitted daily ID. Private reports show aggregates, not those IDs. They cover only consenting browsers and cannot prove how many unique people visited. Hosting, security and form abuse prevention may process technical information or use necessary security technologies independently of optional measurement. Their configuration and retention can differ; see Cloudflare’s cookie information. No advertising identifiers are created by our measurement code.

Your control

Accept all enables both optional categories. Reject optional keeps both off. Manage settings lets you enable analytics without daily browser counting. Open Privacy choices in the footer to withdraw or change a choice. Closing settings does not give consent. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track disable optional measurement. Withdrawal stops future collection; earlier records expire according to their existing retention period.
