CacheTrail: Geocaching Log
Your geocaching career in one logbook: every find with its D/T, streaks and milestones, DNFs with a retry list, trip stories, and the 81 cell grid filling up.
Download on theApp StoreCacheTrail is a personal logbook for geocachers: every find you make, written down the way the hobby actually works, with the numbers that make a caching career visible.
Log a find in seconds: cache name and code, type (traditional, multi, mystery, earthcache, letterbox, virtual, event, Wherigo), container size, difficulty and terrain in half steps, the date, where it was, your own log, and a photo from your library. Everything is yours, on your device.
The DNFs count too. Log the miss with what happened: came up dry, too many muggles, weather, out of time, terrain, tools needed. Open DNFs sit on a retry list with your notes on what to bring next time. When you finally get the smiley, one tap turns the DNF into a find with everything prefilled. The redemption feels as good as it should.
Streaks and milestones keep the fire lit. CacheTrail tracks your current day streak and your longest ever, and remembers your milestone finds: which cache was number 1, 10, 25, 50, 100 and beyond, with a progress bar to the next one.
The stats screen is your career: finds per week, finds by type, the terrain you take on, and the classic 81 cell D/T grid showing every difficulty and terrain combination you have found, with the count filled in. Personal bests round it out: hardest difficulty, toughest terrain, biggest combo, best single day, longest streak.
Favorites become a gallery: the caches worth remembering as a photo wall, each with its D/T badge. And the trip journal turns the weekend into a story: dates, region, cover photo, your words, and every find attached to the trip with its own trip stats.
CacheTrail is a logbook, not a map. You log finds yourself, in your own words, and nothing depends on a network or an account.
